Key responsibilities:
Design of structural buildings and with focus on tasks such as:
• Leading and managing projects with a global mind-set and with holistic thinking - respect for the cultural differences
• Responsibility for analysing and design of precast buildings using 3D analysis programs and ensuring preparation of production and details drawings by using Tekla Structures (3D drawing software) and AutoCAD.
• Ensuring project documentation meets Eurocode/ACI and other American standards/local construction standard requirements and Consolis guidelines
• Management of the design team
• Understanding how to tactfully communicate difficult/sensitive information
• Acting as a mentor and role model for design engineers with less experience
• Reporting to the technical manager based in Denmark
Required Qualifications:
• Relevant academic background, e.g. a civil engineer
• Have 10-15 years’ experience in design of reinforced concrete structures and preferably also a good knowledge about design of precast concrete structures.
• Mastering local requirements and construction traditions as well as international construction codes practices.
• Have very good experience in using 3D analysis programs, like Etabs/Midas GEN and master performing dynamic and seismic structural design of all types of buildings
• Have a good experience in using MathCad and Microsoft Office programs
• Extensive experience in project management, construction process (from sales to assembly) and have great communication and collaboration skills internally and externally
• Very good in English, spoken and written
• Willingness to travel - up to 10 days per year.

About your new job:
Are you interested in design of precast concrete buildings? And you want to have an influence on the development and adaptation of precast concrete solutions as a common building solution in countries of low to high seismicity levels? Then become a leader of our design team and join us to expand our business in buildings construction across southern part of Europe, North Africa and Asia.
We have new ambitious projects in Egypt, Tunisia and Indonesia, and you will help to lift the precast industry in seismic areas to a high professional level, where we will be leading. Your new job will be based at Consolis Engineering Services in Cluj Napoca, Romania.
You become a leader for a team of 3 engineers, of 2-5 years’ experience and with the right profile you will be able to enhance their skills in design and in using 3D analysis programs. In the role of team leader ensures coordination of resources with projects and ensure follow-up on the team goals by working closely and continuously monitor the team members.
Our design team is responsible for design and development of precast concrete building solutions in seismic areas in Europe, North Africa and other new markets in Asia. The design team assists developing business units (BUs), like Bonna Tunisia in Tunisia, ECPC in Egypt and Bonna Indonesia in the sales phase, to analyse new projects and deliver drawings and Bill of Quantity for pricing, and if orders rest on these BUs the design team with help from other departments will do the design, production drawings and detailing works. You will be responsible for projects whereby cross-border collaboration is required.
The Design team is also a part of Consolis Buildings Technology Centre and will from time to time be involved in very interesting development projects for Consolis as a group.
