Position Purpose:
This is a support/development role in the Datawarehouse Delivery team that requires a candidate with very good Oracle SQL and PL/SQL skills. The role is both supporting the existing Data Warehouse and development of production fixes , support toolkits performance improvements and new features. The environment is fast-paced requiring a quick mind to understand and support new functionalities/technologies in a dynamic workplace.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
• Responsible for day time support of the live Data warehouse
• Perform root cause analysis for production issues and make suggestions to improve designs
• Understand, prioritize and resolve support tickets
• Create utilities/routines to automate support procedures
• Produce product specifications and development estimates.
• Engineer feature and performance improvements, adhering to and feeding back into departmental standards and guidelines.
• Thorough, demonstrable unit testing.
• Code reviews, by and for peers.
• Participate in an out of office hours on-call rota for the data warehouse
• Create technical documentation for Data warehouse interfaces

• Experience in writing advanced SQL, PL/SQL
• Experience of working extensively on Oracle 10g
