We are looking for a highly skilled and energetic Sales Engineer (Transylvania area), to build the market for the divisions range of Dairy process applications within Liquid applications including Filtration, Evaporation, Drying, Powder handling and Liquid Filling.
The Sales Engineer will be working with brands and products known for technical excellence and high quality like GEA TDS, GEA Filtration, GEA Niro and GEA Procomac.
Main responsibilities:
- Strengthen the knowledge about the dairy industry in Romania and build strong relationships to key players in the industry.
- Follow-up on leads, advise customers on technical solutions and possibilities and ensure that relevant quotations are issued on time.
- Follow-up on projects.
Success criteria:
- Generate leads both for the local organization and for the Technology Centers in GEA Process Engineering.
- Establish GEA Process Engineering as the preferred supplier of high quality process solutions for the Dairy Industry in Romania.
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate must have:
Languages:
- Fluency in Romanian and good working knowledge of English.
Education:
- Academic qualifications, Degree in Dairy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or another related field.
- Commercial degree (advantage).
Experience:
- Technical sales activity (3 - 5 years)
- a dairy and/or an engineering company working with the dairy industry (advantage)
Personal qualifications:
- Strong drive and motivation and the ability to spot and react on market opportunities.
- Strong technical understanding
- Inter-personal skill and able to lead a discussion with people in different positions internally as well as externally.
Travel:
- Approximately 60 - 80 days a year with overnight stays mainly in Romania but also to Technology Centers in the rest of Europe. Besides from this frequent 1 day customer visits should be expected.
