* Oversee activities directly related to buying products or providing services.
* Determine goods to be sold, and set prices and credit terms, based on forecasts of customer demand.
* Oversee the movement of goods, out of stock situations.
* Direct and coordinate activities concerned with the buying, pricing, sales, and distribution of products under his supervision
* Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
* Train and supervise buying and merchandising staff.
* Present and sign off assortment plans with management to ensure division's strategies are in line and consistent with company's product strategy.
* Authorize payment of invoices or return of merchandise.
* Lead analysis of product past performance data and identify missed opportunities
* Alongside Buying lead weekly, monthly, quarterly and seasonal reviews of the collection performance.
* Analyze avaliable stock with slow movement, plan stategies with Sales Manager in order to improve sales.
* Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
* Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
* Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
* Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
* Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
* Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
