The Software Developer is a member of a team responsible for the requirements, design, integration, testing, verification and maintenance of the American Process Inc., software products. The individual must be forward-thinking and share in common vision of quality, integrity and efficiency.
Duties will include:
• Assist IT team in supporting, updating and maintaining existing software systems
• Review and modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new technologies/equipment or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance
• Consult with engineering staff to evaluate software requirements, develop specifications and performance tests and resolve problems
• Create software manuals and assist development of software documentation
• Assist with improving process development
• Train users to use new or modified equipment
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related discipline
• Relevant experience with C++ programming under Windows. The required competencies have to cover MFC, COM\ATL
• Experience in Visual Basic\VBA
• Good knowledge of the .NET platform in general and ASP.NET in particular
• Good skills in C# language
• Experience with SQL Server
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, query
• Knowledge of MVC RAZOR would be a plus
• SharePoint Portal Server experience would be a plus
• Knowledge of Chemical Engineering basics would be a plus
• Highly motivated self-starter with pro-active, positive attitude towards tasks
• Aptitude in conveying information to people in varied fields of expertise
• Willingness and ability to learn
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
