Development, maintenance for Softing's DTS software (Diagnostic Tool Set), family of applications supporting different communication protocols, hardware abstraction layers, industry standards like ASAM MCD Api, PDU Api, etc., all applied to ECU (Electronic Control Units) specification, engineering, test, integration and service.

The area covered by your responsability is authoring software for real-time, mulithreaded, highly deterministic and fail safe object oriented applications meant to be used by major german car manufacturers.

SoftingRom was founded early 2005 in Cluj-Napoca as a development division of Softing A.G. Munich.

In the industrial automation area, SoftingRom has competences and experience in building diagnostic and control systems for PROFIBUS, PROFINET networks, in networking and configuring field devices for Modbus, Hart networks or in testing the real time Ethernet systems built at Softing Munich (PROFINET IO).

SoftingRom is involved actively in the Automotive Electronics area in the enhancement of the series of software tools grouped in the so called Diagnostic Tool Set, which provides highly specialized features for specifying and engineering ECUs (Electronic Control Units) as well as test systems and communication platforms for Test, Manufacturing and Service.
We are also participating in the process of the development of ECU software interfaces, by gathering progressive experience in communication protocols like CAN, LIN, FlexRay and application standards as ASAM, ODX and AUTOSAR.
