The position is a full time job in Vestas Technology R&D in the department Converter Design R&D, Power Electronics.
The department develops and maintains the power electronic systems for the wind turbine applications.
Following structured development processes, the department designs reliable and easy maintainable power electronic systems, focusing on a balance between quality, time, cost, risk and functionality.
Responsibilities :
The candidate should be a competent and experienced specialist to work within the field of converter hardware design. The candidate will as specialist for Power Conversion be responsible for hardware design on Vestas’ latest hardware platforms and involved in details in development of new converter systems for Vestas from idea to product.
Responsibilities will include the following:
•Being technical specialist on different projects
•Being the technical lead on project with new technology
•Make sure that the quality of the developed product is according to Vestas standards
•Design test criteria and approve test reports
•Make sure all Risks are identified in the new design
•Make sure that the right design is chosen
•Inform/train colleges about the technical details in converter systems
•M.Sc. in electrical engineering
•Deep knowledge in electrical system design (with generators or motors)
•10 years of work experience – the last years working with power conversion
•Several years of experience as technical lead in converter design
•Experience in international design projects
•Experience in design to all project phases from idea to production
•Communication:the candidate must have a very good command of both spoken and written English.
