The Network Architect will help execute various projects within the network space (WAN, LAN, Voice, Video, Wireless) that affect key Accenture business functions. They will be partnering across various teams within IO and CIO to develop architecture standards and ensuring that the network strategy integrates with the overall enterprise and application strategies. They will also be participating in vendor evaluations/discussions, assisting in creating design and business case documents to obtain sponsorship for network architectural initiatives.
Collaborate across various IO and CIO teams to gather technical and functional requirements
Create high level plans for new services, processes, and delivery models for various network related initiatives
Provide network architecture guidance to application teams. Suggest and recommend options that are operationally sound, cost effective and in alignment with Accenture's overall network strategy
Provide operational oversight and troubleshooting assistance for escalations related to application network performance
Perform peer review activities for network architecture deliverables and recommendations to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant CIO standards and strategy
Ensure proper project governance and project management practices are followed to meet target dates and budget
Stay abreast of network architecture trends
Be available and accessible as a technical/expert network resource for other teams within CIO
Minimum 2-3 years as Network Architect
Bachelor or Master's Degree in Computer Science , related engineering fied , or equivalent experience
Specific experience in wide area network , primarily in a cisco environment
Extensive hands-on design experience with routing protocols in multi-homed distributed environment using Cisco equipment
Extensive knowledge of MPLS , TCP/IP and Traffic prioritization
Familiarity with a variety of commonly used appliances ( load balancers , caching , packet shapers )
Extensive knowledge of firewalls , IDS /IPS aand securiy response processes
Experience with voice over IP ; video over IP , specifically Cisco Telepresence and IP telephony is preferred
Good working knowledge and exposure of Microsoft technologies ( widows , IIS , SQL , Exchange , OCS )
