The Java Developer is responsible for the design, development, unit testing and integration of software products and solutions. Innovation, initiative and flexibility are seen as key qualities of the engineer and are valued as highly as knowledge base and design and analysis skills.
The work environment is informal and encourages sharing and development of ideas and knowledge between engineers.
• technical or business degree (e.g. M.Sc., B.Sc. or PhD) in engineering/computer science or in a related discipline
• development under Windows and/or UNIX/Linux operating system
• programming skills: Java, JSP, JavaScript, XML, SQL
• database interface development: Oracle, PL/SQL, JDBC
• object-oriented design, component based development
• good English skills (essential communication with customer based on emails/conference calls, understanding of functional specifications, coding standards and other project documentations)
• well groomed, positive attitude, proactivity and good team spirit
• goodwill to stay overtime in emergency situations
• willingness to travel (possible work on project abroad, work in customer premises)
