For our client, a leading diversified manufacturer of high tolerance precision machined components and assemblies, we are looking for a Senior CNC Machinist.
Responsibilities:
Review customer drawings, specification and quote parameters in order to develop process plans.
Plan processes to hit setup and cycle targets within tooling cost allowance.
Create solid models using either CATIA or MasterCam.
Selection of cutting tools.
Design of special tools.
Create and prove out CNC programs.
Assist in problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
Store data, reports and documents according to a defined structure.
At least 10 years of experience in CNC Lathe set up.
At least 5 years of experience in Lathe programming.
High school Diploma or higher education level.
Knowledge in English – will have to sustain an English test for the VISA application.
Precision, attention to detail and accuracy.
In depth understanding of materials and processes related to machining.
Expert level of G code and M code programming is required for 2 higher level positions.
Experience in conversational programming (Fanuc Controls) is an asset.
Proficiency in GD&T and practical application of GD&T.
Proficiency in the use of various measuring devices such as caliper, digital indicator, micrometer and height gage.
