Under the direction of the Chair, the Instructor is responsible for providing academic supervision of Student laboratory/simulation work, examination invigilation, and fostering an effective learning environment for students.
The Instructor must meet relevant professional standards at local, provincial and national levels.
MAJOR ELEMENTS OF THE POSITION:
-laboratory/simulation supervision and instruction
-laboratory/simulation/competency evaluation and marking
-student feedback
-examination invigilation
-lab set-up
-assist with ordering of lab supplies and equipment
-troubleshooting and minor repair of equipment
-reviewing of course documentation
-a relevant professional diploma
-minimum of two years experience
-previous student supervision experience with knowledge in evaluative techniques
-current registration with the COCOO and membership with OSC and CFPM
-strong organizational skills
-excellent verbal and written communication skills
-an ability to work independently and as part of a team
