REPORTS TO: PROJECT MANAGER
PLACE: CAMPINA - PREDEAL
MISSION:
It is a key position in the successful delivery of operational contract obligations.
Nature of work/description of work: Office work 90% of the job.
YOU WILL HAVE TO ENSURE THAT:
- Contractual obligations are fully delivered, in a safe manner and in accordance with good engineering practice;
- Clients have a high level of customer satisfaction;
- The contracts are delivered in accordance with, and where possible exceeding, the agreed budgets;
The following is a brief description of what the role entails:
- You will be responsible for managing a number of contracts at the one time;
- Prepare and manage contract documentation;
- Production of program & health and safety;
- Materials scheduling;
- Day to day supervision and monitoring of site;
- Recording variations, verbal instruction and measurements for invoice;
- Monitoring & checking of costs;
- Final site inspection;
- Monthly management meetings.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates should be suitably qualified and have considerable experience managing all aspects of a wide range of building contracts;
- The successful candidate will have 5 - 6 Years of previous experience;
- Excellent FIDIC knowledge;
- The successful candidate will possess a proven track record in a related post;
- The successful candidate will have experience of delivering projects against time, quality, safety and budgetary objectives;
- The successful candidate will possess excellent knowledge and communicational skills;
- Excellent communication and analytical skills required;
- The ideal candidate should have the capability of building and maintaining an effective working relationship with all key stakeholders and members of staff;
- Monitoring and supervising all aspects of different projects;
- The ability to adhere to tight deadlines;
- A professional and enthusiastic disposition is required of the successful candidate with a strong technical knowledge of the operational aspect of managing and supervising construction / development projects;
- You will need to be fully competent in all aspects of building technology, coupled with a strong familiarity with the design process;
- You will be suitably qualified (Civil Eng, Construction) and already have proven your ability to manage successfully a wide range of construction projects. In addition, you will have excellent people management, interpersonal and communications skills;
- As a Senior Contracts Manager you will be fully responsible for the successful commercial delivery and construction activities of all projects within your remit;
- Candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills with good site based knowledge and experience on a broad range of projects in the construction sector.
It is essential that you have at least 5 years experience previous in a contracts manager role. It is also necessary to have mixed development experience and fast track construction experience.
SKILLS:
- Fluent English, both spoken and written;
- PC literacy (MS Office);have a sound knowledge of building construction techniques and materials;
- budget management skills;
- methodical approach to work;
- well organized;
- understand Building Regulations and other relevant legal guidelines;
- excellent communication and negotiating skills;
- able to work as part of a team.
