The EHS Consultant will lead, deploy and support the development and implementation of the Environmental, Health and Safety programs across Hewlett-Packard in following countries: Algeria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Morocco, Poland, Romania, Serbia/Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Turkey.
He/she will provide knowledge base and consultative support to all business units and operations on EHS programs. Review and monitor the progress of these programs in the defined countries.
¿ Lead & co-ordinate the development and implementation of Management Systems and associated programs to meet site/geography regulatory requirements and Corporate policies/guidelines
¿ Leverage processes and programs from other parts of HP delivering generic tools, processes, and packages that support the timely deployment of EHS programs within the region
¿ Provide technical expertise and serve as knowledge expert in areas of EHS consulting for operations (including use of external consultants)
¿ Facilitate and maintain the appropriate emergency response and first aid teams for each site within the geography
¿ Ensure that a process exists for injury reporting, accident investigation and resolution; including near misses
¿ Assist entity management in conducting EHS assignments and reviews for all sites and businesses unit specific needs
¿ Act as a ¿change agent¿ to lead management groups to understand and fulfil their EHS responsibilities and obligations, and acquire the skills to self-manage the program
¿ Provide regular reporting on EHS performance and program progress to management and EHS regional & functional management
¿ Participate in EMEA and as required global EHS teams
¿ Manage Corporate and regulatory required Health & wellness program objectives and performance ¿ OH Health, Fitness facilities, health promotion activities and medical requirements
¿ Provide Vendor Management for outsourced activities
¿ Manage EHS budgets within the limits set by REWS finance
¿ Degree in Engineering, Sciences, Public Health or equivalent combination of education and experience
¿ Demonstrated ability to work across functions and across levels of management
¿ Excellent linguistic proficiency in English
¿ Certification in Environmental and Safety engineering or Broad knowledge of HP businesses and structures
¿ Knowledge in European EHS directives and regulations
