Freescale Semiconductors Wireless Connectivity Operation (WCO) group offers to it's customers a comprehensive solution for wireless networking based on the ZigBee/802.15.4 standards. WCO Romania group provides the software part of Freescales ZigBee/802.15.4 platform: from low-level components (start-up code and drivers for ARM7 and HC08), the data link layer, various networking layers, up to sample applications and deployment solutions.
Your role is to develop wireless stacks on different Freescale platforms.
To be successful in your role you will have to display the following activities:
- Develop high quality software architecture for new products
- Designed modules and to develop features for current products as well as for future products
- Create and maintain documentation for the developed solutions
- Develop solutions for validation of the software products.
The expected performance for a software engineer is reflected by:
- The ability to apply generally accepted professional practices to work assignments of moderate complexity and scope

- Works on projects and assignments of small to medium projects
- Full use and application of standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques

To ensure your successful performance in this role your working past experience should reflect :
-ANSI C programming experience (at least 3 years)
- Experience in developing and optimizing embedded low-level software
Your technical knowledge and skills should demonstrate:
-BS or MS in Electronics or Computer Science; Computer Engineering
- Knowledge of networking protocols
- Experience in embedded real-time software development
- Understanding of wireless protocols specifications (MAC and network levels)
- Usage of configuration management tools
- Communication, documentation and presentation skills
- Good command of English (speaking & writing)
