This highly skilled role requires an interesting mix of web development and database administration skills. You will work as part of a team on a variety of internal and external facing web applications, and have overall responsibility for many of the back-end systems that drive our business.
Extensive experience in the following areas required:
• web application development
• object oriented programming methodologies
• relational database design
• DBA experience with MySQL, SQL2005 or later, ORACLE
• complex SQL query authoring and optimization
• (X)HTML, JavaScript and CSS
• Data analysis
• Installation and operations of RDBMS systems
• Log analysis and preventative maintenance on RDBMS nodes
• Provide training to other team members and mentoring to junior team members.
The successful candidate will also have experience in several of the following areas:
• High availability system management – ideally in a telecoms or commodity website environment
• Object-oriented design using ERD tools
• Large-scale SQL, Oracle design and deployment
We’re looking for someone who has worked as a developer for some time and has extensive experience with database design, setup and administration.
