Adobe Media Player is a very challenging product, aiming wide-scale deployment – you have to be very knowledgeable in scalable web architectures and familiar with existing “video-over-internet” solutions. More information about the project: http://www.adobe.com/products/mediaplayer/
The Web Developer we are looking for is focused on constant improvement of the product and on delivering excellent products to our customers.
On this job, you:
- Work independently and own multiple features of the product
- Transform requirements into architectural and feature specs
- Design & implement features, required APIs, test suites or technology according to specifications
- Interact with the quality engineers, to ensure project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
- Perform research on various technologies useful for the project.
- Provide status and feedback to management
For this job we are searching for people with:
- Experience building and deploying web applications with at least two server technologies (for example, but not limited to: J2EE, ColdFusion, .NET, PHP, Rails,etc.)
- Good knowledge of SQL and experience with at least one Database Management System (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
- Actionscript and Flash/Flex experience are considered big pluses
- Knowledge of Web 2.0 concepts and applications is considered a plus (blogging, tagging, folksonomies, social bookmarking, wiki, etc.)
- Some knowledge of client-side development (HTML/ Javascript) is a plus
- Solid foundation in development process, best practices and design patterns
- Good knowledge of code-versioning tools and practices
- Strong knowledge of code-editors, debuggers, profilers and other tools for the technologies he owns
- Client-centric thinking is a plus
- Ability to understand complex technical information
-B.S. or M.S. degree (degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent is a bonus)
- 4 or more years of industry experience in a similar position
- Effective communication with the local and remote team member
- You must be enthusiastic, creative, have entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to innovate
