Position Description:
We are searching for outstanding web developers to be responsible for developing innovative, reusable Web-based components. Programming, graphic design and database administration are all elements of this position while delivering web solutions to Qualitance customers.
The Qualitance consultants should be able to demonstrate strong analytical & problem solving skills, as well as hands-on capability to deliver projects to customer's satisfaction while dealing with challenges such as cross-team dependencies, changing schedules, and constantly evolving requirements. The Qualitance consultants blend deep technical focus with exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal, an ability to communicate clearly and put together materials for technical and nontechnical audiences alike, ranging from project members to executives, C-levels.
Duties and responsibilities:
Work closely with Project Managers and other members of the Development Team to both develop detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines, and to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Onboard into a super-fast, super-responsive, true Agile process, integrating teams in Romania, US, and Germany.
Building last-generation web application using JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, HTML, CSS, node.js, backbone.js.
Convert raw images and layouts from a graphic designer into CSS/XHTML themes.
Determine appropriate architecture and other technical solutions, and make relevant sustainable recommendations to clients.
Communicate to the Project Manager with efficiency and accuracy any progress and/or delays.
Engage in outside-the-box thinking to provide high value-of-service to clients.
Might be occasionally required to define or refine graphic designs for websites.
BS in computer science or a related field, or significant equivalent experience.
Impeccable understanding of the client-server and n-tier paradigms.
2 years minimum experience with HTML/XHTML and CSS.
2 years minimum Web programming experience, including JavaScript, jQuery and generally AJAX.
Must be fluent in JavaScript.
1 year minimum experience working with relational database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MsSQL or Oracle and a good working knowledge of SQL.
Very good experience with command-line / Linux.
Solid experience with version control systems (preferably GIT) and collaborative workflows in a team.
A solid understanding of software lifecycle, Agile methodologies.
Development experience using extensible web authoring tools.
Experience developing and implementing open source software projects.
Self-starter with strong self-management skills.
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
