Main Responsibilities:
Specific duties
- Support the Field Redevelopment project teams on water treatment and water injection issues, as required:
- ensure compliance with Romanian laws & regulations, European standards and Company philosophies/standards/specifications in all Field Re-Development (FRD) projects
- participate in project technical reviews, assessments and audits
- scope of work definition and preparation of tender docs, perform bid reviews
- provide engineering knowledge and expertise during all project phases from pre-feasibility to commissioning & start up
- provide cost and schedule information for budget development and project management
- approve engineering documents on behalf of company
- data collection from units for FRD projects
- Perform technical studies and specific audits, reports and memos
- Analyse existing facilities in Oil&Gas E&P and proposes process improvements, de-bottlenecking, upgrades to efficiently decrease operations costs and enhance productivity/efficiency of plants/equipment
- Develop strategies and specifications for common Surface Process Engineering issues in Oil&Gas E&P
- Review and revise standards, philosophies and specifications in the field of expertise
- Approve key engineering documentation and philosophies, standards and specifications
- Consider and approve / reject as appropriate any request made to deviate from the approved minimum standards
- Provide resources for additional expertise where required, manages 3rd party specialist and engineering companies for FRD projects
Industry knowledge
- The jobholder will prove deep knowledge and experience in process engineering in Oil & Gas E&P, especially in the following areas: water treatment, water injection for increase the production, maturated/depleted fields and reservoir management
- Engineering and de-bottlenecking experience for all equipment related to water management in a maturate/depleted field environment
- General knowledge of production technology and reservoir management in mature fields
- Have a working knowledge of Romanian regulations and European standards
- Have a working knowledge of all company's standards and specifications
- Knowledge of relevant standards and good industry practices in the field of expertise
- Knowledge of latest developments and proactively introduce new technologies as appropriate to meet Business Unit objectives
- Specialized engineering software knowledge
- Project Management knowledge and experience
- Specialized in produced and fresh water treatment, water injection
- Experience with in free flowing wells, pumping and gas lift oil extraction
- Computer literate, knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Liaise with other discipline engineers to ensure no delays as a result of poor interfacing
- Liaise with managers in units
- Coordinates data management for activities
- Coordinate project activities with units and third parties as required
- Participating in technical reviews i.e. Hazop, Hazid, PSRs etc.
- Coordinate supervision for all contractors’ works and guarantee QA/QC for the services/works performed
- Coordinate with FRD project managers and program directors
- Coordinate with Group Leaders in assets and exchange experience
Job requirements:
- Educational requirements: MSc (Engineer Diploma) in Process discipline (Chemical, Petroleum, Mechanics, Automation engineering)
- Minimum of 5 years experience in process engineering
- Good knowledge of relevant standards, norms and regulations
- Experienced in conceptual design studies, FEED, detailed design
- Commissioning and operations experience in upstream oil and gas is an advantage
- Experience in project management, construction management
- IT knowledge and experience in relevant engineering software applications
- Languages minimum requirement: English intermediate
