Manage overall process of warehouse and deliveries on a daily basis. Supervise programs for maximum utilization of staff, equipment and resources. Demonstrate teamwork and leadership qualities that exemplify professionalism.
- Planning deliveries and dispatch of goods
- Monitoring and allocating storage space
- Make sure that security arrangements for the warehouse are adequate and procedures are followed correctly.
- Scheduling maintenance, repair and replacement of equipment, and liaising with other departments, such as quality control, packhouse.
- Plan the arrangement of goods within the warehouse and organise special requirements for certain stock
- Commercial Awareness in a Manufacturing Environment ¿ Having the capacity and background to manage the financials in terms of budgets, administration and profitability.
- Day to day responsibility for managing a busy operation, delivering to major retailers and other customers.
- Ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
- Motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met;
- Training staff and monitoring their performance and progress;
- Overseeing stock control and processing orders;
- Ensuring quality, delivery and budget objectives are met;
- Delivering and fulfilling objectives and directions from the operation's headquarters;
- Carrying out responsibilities for the use of automated and computerised systems;
- Keeping stock control systems up-to-date and planning future capacity requirements;
- Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis;
- Briefing team leaders on the issues for that particular day;
- Ensuring the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment.
- University Degree;
- Engineer background who knows supply chain management, logistics;
- English - fluent;
- Computer Skills: Word/Excel, PowerPoint, Internet;
- Driving license: B.
- Have good numeracy and IT skills, particularly spreadsheets and databases;
- SAP knowledge will be prefered.
- Be able to plan and organise work schedules
- Be calm, level-headed, and be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Be able to make decisions and react quickly to problems
- Have leadership, motivational and teamworking skills
