The Switching Engineer is offering support for all the tasks that are appropriate for his/her technical understanding over telecom equipment and Nobel’s network.
• Configuring, maintaining and monitoring the equipments inside Nobel voice network;
• Solving equipment installation and configuration related issues;
• Work on interconnecting other carriers to Nobel's network (technical setup, test calls, CDRs comparison);
• Installs, maintains and repairs all telecommunication systems within the network;
• Inspects and checks equipment to locate problems or potential problems or causes of failure and makes necessary repairs and adjustments;
• Identifies and resolves problems and restores services to the user in a timely and efficient manner with minimum disruption to the user;
• Provides data and feedback to internal and external customers in a timely manner and according to established guidelines
• Creation and completion of reports and also properly delivering these reports via e-mail to those interested in receiving them.
• Telecommunication background and over 2 years of experience;
• Proficiency in working with SIP and H.323 protocols;
• Advanced knowledge of ISDN configuration and troubleshooting;
• Knowledge in configuring and troubleshooting SS7 networks;
• Related Cisco equipment knowledge ;
• Linux servers administration knowledge;
• Experience in working with MSSQL or MySQL;
• Demonstrates eagerness to learn and assume responsibilities;
• Shows persistence and seeks alternative solutions;
• Strong personality with excellent communication skills;
• Fluency in English;
• Is available to work on shifts (including night shifts).
