Avira's User Experience Engineers lie at the boundary between development and design by taking aesthetics and technical know-how together to produce innovative product concepts and bring them to life. In this job wou-ll work closely with Designers and UX Researchers to define new requirements, conceptualize new features, and deliver working prototypes of new or existing products ready to be tested , iterated on, and finally implemented to hit a market of millions.
You'll have the ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment, as well as estimate and commit to deadlines. You'll often need to analyze and incorporate feedback into subsequent iterations of the same concept in order to deliver the perfect experience. You're both analytical and introspect, and you balance well the user's and the business' needs.
You have cutting edge Front End coding skills (HTML,CSS, JavaScript & JQuery) which serve you to produce interactions, animations and brilliantly executed designs. You have a keen eye for details like timings, executed designs. You have a keen eye for details like timings, positioning and alignment that result in usable flows. You can respect guidelines as well as maintain and enhance them.
Responsibilities
- work closely with Designers and UX Researchers to deliver innovative, engaging prototypes using the latest front end technologies.
- fulfill several project requests simultaneosly while meeting tight deadlines.
- analyze and interpret usability test results and iterate on enhancements per the given product or feature
- design and implement quantitative tracking methods to provide insightful funnel metrics for futher data-driven optimizations, Occasional need to travel.
- B.Sc in Computer Science or equivalent
- 4 years developming clean, valid, and compatible websites and applications
- HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript development on mobile platforms
- good english communication skills. German is a plus
- experience with agile methodologies is considered a plus
- experience with web analytics platforms also a plus
