Job description
An eXperience Designer is focused on usability, design and prototyping of workflows and graphical interfaces.
On this job, you:
- would work with great experience designers and engineers
- would closely collaborate with the UI lead for the project
- would advocate for the user; provide product usability evaluation and support for development teams. This includes the analysis of applications/systems, graphics, web, multimedia, and user interaction
- may develop user profiles, with emphasis on display issues, visual interaction, human error control, task objective analysis
- would develop and apply software design/usability processes in the investigation of technical problems; produce specifications describing user requirements and internal structures for product in development
- would strive to generate crisp, innovative and elegant design solutions
- would describe abstract concepts through writing, diagramming, sketching and prototyping
- would create, evaluate and modify prototypes to support evolving software application development
- may assist in developing design concept and implementation, providing input on user design considerations
- would work with a team of designers, engineers and product managers in order for your design to meet also business objectives and technical considerations. You need to be able to communicate clearly and make well-founded decisions
- should facilitate the exploration and understanding of the problem's space and drive to get to the heart of the problem. You should be able to move easily between the forest and the trees and have a keen understanding of what level of detail is appropriate at a given time
For this job we are searching for people with:
-2+ years of professional software design experience
- expertise in either Flash prototyping or visual design, and the desire to master both
- thorough understanding of user experience design for interactive desktop products or rich internet applications
- excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people from different fields, like engineers and managers
- studies in Human Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Usability or a related field are a plus
