Role:
The Usability Engineer will play an important role interfacing between the UI Design Team and the Engineering development teams at AXWAY Romania. This person will be responsible for:
- identify the project requirements based on the user's needs
- centralizes the feedback from support and marketing in terms of usability requirements
- creates user interface prototypes in .ppt or html
- testing together with the customer in order to gather feedback during the product development
- building well-documented, cross-browser compliant web pages that developers can then use in our web-based applications
- taking design specs regarding new (or modified) UI features from the UI Design Team.
This person will also help build important tools to help the User Experience team test the usability of our products and track usability improvements over time. This will include such things as helping construct users surveys and online interactive usability tests and performing analysis of the results.
- Extensive experience with HTML, DHTML, Javascript, CSS programming
- In-depth understanding of cross-browser compliance issues
- Moderate to Extensive Graphic Design experience
- Some UI Design experience, especially page layout
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, independent worker
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with JSP and/or Ajax, Flex, Web Applications, Outlook plugins.
