Our client is an US-based leading provider of agricultural products and solutions using unparalleled innovation in plant biotechnology, genomic and breeding to improve productivity and reduce the costs of farming. The company produces leading seed brands and develops biotechnology traits that integrate insect and weed control into the seed itself. We are now looking for a professional that would join the Bucharest team as Accountant.
Responsibilities:
- Undertaking daily accounting activity USGAAP;
- Daily allocation in SAP of the transactions such as bank statements, invoices, expense reports;
- Account control and reconciliation for inter-company and domestic suppliers and customers;
- Coordination with logistics and project procurement team to ensure proper AP process;
- Monthly reconciliation performed for all accounts, USGAAP vs local system;
- Monthly reconciliation of the sales and purchases journal USGAAP vs local system;
- Fixed assets accounting;
- Assisting in SAP implementation process for local purposes;
- Get involved in production accounting, follow up of stocks;
- Support his/her supervisor to coordinate the audits with external auditors;
- Support his/her supervisor to coordinate tax audits;
- Assisting Chief Accountant in monthly reconciliation of the USGAAP trial balance versus local GAAP;
- Support his/her supervisor to prepare corporate and other tax declarations;
- Ensuring the problems are solved by communicating with the relevant departments.
- University degree in Accounting, Economics or comparable background;
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in an international environment;
- Solid knowledge in accounting, legislation and taxation;
- SAP knowledge would be a plus;
- USGAAP knowledge would be a plus;
- Fluency in English;
- PC skills;
- Well-organised and able to prioritise;
- Excellent personal and inter-personal skills;
- Logical & analytical profile;
- Participative, flexible, team player;
- Creative, efficient problem-solver; solution oriented.
