Reading through original material and rewriting it in the target language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained;
Translating the documents into the required language ensuring accuracy and completeness of the translated document;
Researching legal and specific phraseology to find the correct translation;
Liaising with clients to discuss any unclear points;
Proofreading and editing final translated versions;
Using research tools throughout the translation process;
Meeting deadlines.
For one of our clients, a multinational company active in the law consultancy area, we are looking for a Translator German / English.
Requirements:
Knowledge and experience in the legal translation environment;
Proven ability while translating from / into German and English;
Awareness of implications of actions;
Accuracy, reliability and language skills;
Computer literacy and word processing.
