Nature of the tasks:
• Requirements analysis reviews.
• Testing of new/existing developments in accordance with the specifications.
• Development of acceptance test scenarios, test cases, plans and programs.
• Set-ups, configures and uses automated testing tools.
• Production of technical test documentation.
Role in project:
• Test Engineer part of the Quality Control Team
Education qualifications:
University degree (minimum 4 years post-secondary), or equivalent background knowledge and experience, in a computer-related field
Technical expertise:
• Thorough knowledge of structured test methods and processes
• Proven experience of testing complex systems
• Good knowledge of manual and automated testing (e.g. Selenium)
• Aptitude in detailed reporting
• Excellent communication writing skills
• Commitment to quality and thorough approach to work.
Professional experience:
University degree with minimum 3 years' experience in IT OR non-university degree with minimum 7 years' experience in IT systems
Experience with issue registration tools like JIRA
Experience with relational databases
Knowledge of development methodologies (e.g. SCRUM, RUP)
Optionally, minimum 2 years knowledge/exposure on UML, RDBMS, specific development tools or programming languages will be considered as an asset.
Language skills:
Good knowledge of English (independent user - B level according to the Europass Language Passport)
French will be considered an asset.
Other specific expertise:
Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working
Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments
