We are seeking a Telecom Field Engineer to support our Global WiMAX and wireless broadband customers WW at locations mostly throughout EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.
Job Description
You will provide on-site support and service to Alvarion’s customers’ operations.
You will ensure post-sale on-site support for Alvarion equipment and its management systems in conjunction with other networking equipment.
You will provide certified training for Alvarion equipment at our customer locations worldwide.
Requirements
- 2-3 years proven experience in a technical support position, in the telecom industry
- University graduated in the technical field (preferably Telecom or Electrical Engineering Faculty)
- Good knowledge in networking (routing&switching), LAN, core protocols (TCP/IP, Layer 2&3 protocols)
- Basic concepts or working experience in radio systems, radio modulations (FM, GFSK, OFDM etc.), antennas, measurement equipment for computers and radio systems
- CCNA courses; certification is an asset
- Very Customer Service oriented
- Very good English, spoken and written
- Good presentation skills
- Ability to travel up to 50 % of the time, providing support at customer premises
Would be an asset:
- Experience in telecommunications, mainly with WIMAX, wireless & network operators
- Certification by known network equipment vendors, such as Cisco, Juniper and others
