Pre-sales is the function that provides solution and product expertise to sales, customers & partners in Oracle. As a pre-sales consultant you have the chance to develop in a very broad spectrum, ranging from product expertise, customer interaction, communication and general IT market knowledge. Successful pre-sales consultants are highly demanded individuals with the possibility to develop a career in many different IT (and non-IT) functions. Oracle Romania technology presales is extremely involved in working closely with Oracle customers and partners in order to leverage the technical knowledge in their IT teams, to support the adoption of Oracle products and to advice the customer regarding the evolution of it’s IT architecture.The positions will have a major involvement on the Romanian market, but also they can participate in assignements regionally. They will work in a very challenging environment, and they have to become leaders in their IT domain of expertise.
TECHNICAL:
- Good understanding of the IT market/trends
- Technical/IT education, university degree
- Works in an IT related role today (solution arhitect, senior system administrator or DBA, technical support, consulting, development)
- Good understanding of Oracle or similar products, more specific: Experience (worked with) Databases; preferably Oracle but others are acceptable as well;
- and/or experience (worked with) middleware products (1 or more of the following: J2EE/Portals/SOA tools/ID management etc.); preferably Oracle but others are acceptable as well.
- Experience (more then simple user level) with one or more operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix)
- Most important is an eagerness to learn! Oracle has an incredibly broad (and growing) portfolio of industry leading products. If you find it interesting and fun to pick up a new product and master it in a very short timeframe, this is the place to be!
NON TECHNICAL:
- Good communication skills, able to articulate key messages very clearly
- Openness to work with different languages & cultures (you will support most of Europe)
- Results orientation, you won’t be satisfied until the job is done with the right quality!
- Ability to work in (virtual) teams. To get a specific job done often requires working together with many colleagues spread out in different countries
- Self motivated, you have the natural drive to learn and pick up new challenges
OTHER :
-Work experience in a similar role is an advantage
-Fluency (including written) in English is a must
