The Technical Writer will develop a high level of expertise in each of the product areas being documented, and produce communication materials for internal and external clients. This position is part of user experience role in software product lifecycle, having as major objective the familiarization of users / clients with the software products by producing user guides, on-line help, quick start guides, and reference manuals.
The work flow will include:
¿ Reviewing product development documentation, including marketing and product requirements, functional specifications, and data sheets.
¿ Collecting, analyzing, and organizing source material, including industry standards
¿ Communicating with R&D staff for technical information.
¿ Writing product documentation, including conceptual overviews, procedures, and reference material.
¿ Creating drawings and other artwork to support the written material, using Visio and Photoshop.
¿ Submitting technical documentation to R&D and QA staff for review comments and feedback.
Requirements:
¿ Degree in IT related, English, Journalism, or equivalent field.
¿ Strong communication skills
¿ Ability and desire to learn technical concepts quickly.
¿ Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
¿ Enthusiastic team player
¿ Excellent command of English
¿ Experience with Visio / Photoshop / Acrobat
