Position Summary
- Responsible for analysis of audience training requirements.
- Responsible for defining curriculum solutions, customizing and field testing the course materials
- Interfaces with senior team members and functional organizations to adopt, customize and design training solutions according to specifications. Changes & updates course design specifications in reference to Technical & Marketing Publications.
- Responsible for developing and conducting technical training courses (ILT, e-learning and blended) for customers, either internal or external.
- Works on Project Teams with engineering, technical support and manufacturing to ensure that course material reflects current product features.
- Prepares delivery of assigned lesson plans, ensures technical accuracy of course contents, and prepares lab sessions.
- Utilizes course feedback and evaluation to improve existing courses.
Duties and Principal Activities
- Develop various training materials in accordance with his/her dedicated product line.
- Deliver Courses (Theoretical presentations, configuration and testing of Lab and Classroom equipment/Software). Deliver field trials and analyze evaluation results.
- Perform Course follow-up Evaluation, Maintenance and Update - Revise all training materials according to evaluation results, new product specifications, and new documentation.
- Troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade lab system(s) HW/SW.
- Customize Courses -Update / tweak training materials to reflect customer specific configurations and needs.
-Write Evaluation Tools (Certification Tests, Self-Assessment Quiz)
- Conduct Audience Needs Assessments for existing technologies and product updates.
-Work leadership may be provided by assigning work and resolving problems within assigned projects team(s), and/or audience team(s).
- Requires a Bachelors degree or better - preferably in the technical or the education fields, with a minimum of 3 Years experience in training technical and/or field support personnel,
- Experience in technical Course Development is an advantage.
-Must be fluent in English -capable of writing technical materials and of delivering technical courses in English. Fluency in additional languages is an advantage (French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian ???)
-Strong background in at least one of the following fields is required:
-Radio Technologies
- IT / Data communications
-Proficiency in MS Office is required. Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat & training design tools preferred.
-Ability to get along with co-workers and supervisors.
Extensive travel will be required- up to 30% of the time, both international (worldwide) and domestic.
