Job description:

For our client, a growing Romanian IT software company which is specialized in business analysis consultancy, software development & deployment and application tuning & optimization, we are currently looking for Technical Test Analysts to be part of their smart, dynamic and talented team.

You will be involved in testing web based applications for Play.com, third largest online retailer with an excess of nine million customers in over 30 countries and up to 850 employees.
They are committed to the creative use of technology as a way of differentiating its retail proposition from the competition. Partnering with leading vendors such as Oracle, IBM and Microsoft, Play.com leverage’s these relationships to create technologically sophisticated solutions to deliver real value to their customers.

We are searching for tenacious testers who are passionate about what they do and have the energy and vision to deliver.

Responsibilities & Duties:

To conduct all tasks within the testing process lifecycle including test process management, on any assigned work, ensuring the appropriate processes, techniques and agreed standards are implemented.

To work as part of the test team either as project lead or as part of a team to help deliver IT change within a dynamic business. To provide technical insight into development changes to the existing Play.com architecture.

Test planning, preparation and execution and the test process management activities of planning, estimating, monitoring, control and reporting.
Interact with architecture and development teams to understand the changes being made. Review Technical and Functional specs. Challenge the solution, understand the impacts, design the required tests and document the environment requirements.
Provide support in developing SOA/integration interface test plans and estimates, scripting test cases, executing service tests, reporting/tracking defects.
Plan all work prior to starting, understanding and clearly documenting your scope, effort and a schedule of work.
At all times work within defined test practises and utilise any document templates or tools applicable to the work being undertaken. If other tools are required due to the new technologies being implemented then provide a reasoned argument for additional applications.
Proactively monitor and report your progress against estimates and expectations and to escalate management information in a timely and accurate manner in the appropriate forums. Including Highlights, Risks, Issues & Dependencies, Progress and Metrics.
Communicate effectively with all other departments necessary to ensure successful completion of any assigned testing tasks.
Escalate any opportunity within the current practise where you consider there to be an opportunity for improvement.
Maintain influence over projects you are leading/involved with and highlight where changes will have a impact on other project work streams and environments.
Assist in the definition and implementation of test process improvement.
Training other members of the Test Team, providing guidance and advice upon request and where appropriate to take control of areas requiring intervention. Using experience gained to support designated individuals from within the test team.
Taking ownership of key areas on request of Test Team Lead.


CERINTE

Requirements:

Experience of SOA Testing. This must include the functional, performance and load testing of web services.
Experience of the full test process lifecycle including test process management (planning, estimating, monitoring, control and reporting) using different methodologies.
Understanding of software programming languages (.Net & C# is a plus)
Significant experience of SQL
Experience of managing a workstack and task management.
