Leads and manage several products from the inception to the phase-out in order to maximize business value.
He/she is working with marketing, sales, engineering, finance, quality and installation to make his products a business success.
Advocates and promotes the products to prospects or existing customers
Analyzes and evaluates the products market context and identifies new ways to enhance the product value
Comply and enforce company policies and procedures applicable to marketing and branding.
Create and maintain a calendar of marketing activities.
Responsible for timely and accurate communication of marketing plans and achievements to the whole sales group.
Handle product campaigns and other corporate communications -including web content - according to guidelines, meeting timeline and budget parameters.
Make budget reports on a timely and accurate basis that informs management, sales teams and other relevant budget holders of product expenditures.
Must be experienced in at least one, passionate about all three, and conversant with practitioners in all:
1. Business- optimizing the products to achieve the business goals while maximizing return on investment.
2. Technology- understanding the technology stack and most importantly understanding the level of effort involved is crucial to making the right decisions. This is even more important in an Agile world where Product Managers spend more time day to day with the development team than with anyone else inside the business.
3. User Experience- the Product Manager is the voice of the user inside the business and must be passionate about the user experience. You do need to be out there testing the product, talking to users and getting that feedback first hand
A passion for Product Management within a B2B software environment.
Experience of managing products to deliver business benefits as well as have experience of managing software product development projects from inception to delivery.
Strong leadership skills and a can do attitude
Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze and interpret large data sets.
Experience of working within an Agile development process.
Fluency in and/or knowledge of multiple languages is an asset
