JOB PROFILE for Technical Engineer - SQL Server
• Will communicate with customers, internal engineers via electronic correspondence or telephone.
• Will solve complex level of problems, involving broad, in-depth product knowledge or in-depth product specialty redirected by the Global Technical Support Centre or escalated by EMEA subsidiary sites.
• Provide solutions that satisfy customers which will involve handling difficult situations.
• Take an active role in challenging and suggesting enhancements on existing processes and workflows. Develop own technical knowledge on products/technologies related to the team scope.
• Write and review technical articles or sample programs in order to distribute technical information to all customers, internal engineering and subsidiary staff.
JOB PROFILE for Technical Engineer - SharePoint, C++ & Visual Studio, Domains and Platforms (Networking and Core)
• Using broad and in-depth product knowledge provide and facilitate the responsive delivery of technical solutions and information to major customers;
• Provide solutions to complex problems that satisfy our German OR French speaking customer base. This involves dealing with difficult situations including complaint handling, sensitive customers and mission critical support;
• Build customer and partner loyalty through customer orientation, responsiveness and accountability;
• Work in an international environment and collaborate with your team to provide high-level support;
Requirements for Technical Engineers - SQL Server:
• Customer focus and Service oriented attitude
• Strong team player
• Strong knowledge of the following languages, verbal and written: English and German
• Analytical Problem Solving skills
• Knowledge of Relational Databases administration and TCP/IP Networking
Requirements for Technical Engineers - SharePoint:
• Communication skills in international environment; Fluency in English and German
Depending on your level of seniority at least two of following criteria are mandatory:
• Knowledge of the HTTP/HTML, Scripting with VB, Java
• Web Server knowledge, IIS6 or other Web Applications
• Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Infrastructure)
• Operating system (Windows 2000, XP, 2003; NLB, DNS, Networking, Protocols, Domain – MCSE 2000/2003)
Also are considered a plus:
• Previous experience in Windows SharePoint Services and Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server
• Database Know how ( MS SQL2000 / SQL2005; MSDE, WMSDE, SQL Expression; SQL Embedded)
• Programming skills e.g. C#; ASP.NET
Requirements for Technical Engineers C++ & VISUAL STUDIO:
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Development Environments (Visual Studio)
• Strong Programming skills with C++, C# or VB.Net
• Good Knowledge of .Net Framework on Assemblies/JIT compilation, Managed Memory Management and Garbage Collector.
• Good Windows Operating System background on Threads, Processes and Memory Management (Heap, Stack, Virtual Memory).
The following will be considered a significant advantage:
• Debugging / Creating and Reading memory Dumps
• Programming skills with C/C++ and knowledge of ATL, MFC, Win API
• Skills on COM, COM+, DCOM, MSDTC, MSMQ, Biztalk, WebServices, Remoting
• A Microsoft certification (MCSE or MCSD) is a plus.
Other requirements:
• Strong working knowledge of English and German (verbal and written) it’s a must;
• Communication skills in international environment;
• Willingness to improve technical skills and language skills ;
• Customer-oriented attitude
Requirements for Technical Engineers Platforms:
NETWORK
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP Networking (IP Addressing, IP Routing, DNS, DHCP, IPSec etc)
• Familiar with Network tracing
CORE
• Ideally 3-5 years strong design, administration and/or support experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Clients and Servers : 2000,XP, 2003 and Vista) preferably in a Support Organization or a Large Enterprise
• Familiar with troubleshooting tools like Event Viewer, Network tracing, Perfmon, component specific debugging logs etc.
Requirements for Technical Engineers DOMAINS:
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (Forest, Domains, AD Partitions, FSMO roles, DC/GC specifics, Sites, AD replication, ADAM, AD Backup/Restore, Group Policy, AD security etc) and file replication mechanism (NTFRS/sysvol replication, DFSr).
• Good understanding of the network and authentication protocols (SMB/CIFS, DNS, RPC, LDAP, Kerberos, NTLM, etc).
• Good understanding of security principles (User profiles, authentication, authorization, PKI: EFS/SmartCard/Certificates…)
• Strong working knowledge of English and German (verbal and written) it’s a must;
• Communication skills in international environment;
• Willingness to improve technical skills and language skills ;
• Customer-oriented attitude
• Strong problem solving skills.
