Adecco Permanent Placement is looking for its Client, a prestigious engineering company, for a Technical Engineer based in Bucharest.
Job description
You will be providing technical assistance on company products to both internal and external customers, and actively promote Aftermarket Products.
Responsibilities will also include:
- Handling of Technical Service and occasional Equipment Sales calls.
- Provide on a daily basis nationwide technical support to both external and internal customers within the Service operation, including responding to technical queries and equipment breakdowns.
- Investigate general technical queries such as equipment performance, shutdowns or other technical data and spare parts enquiries either by telephone, email, through site visits and workshop activity.
- Participate in the warranty process, assess and log claims and deal with the internal processing of the warranty system;
- Undertake technical investigations in order to resolve problems and provide customer support, communicating with the product companies in order to obtain information and provide feedback to support clarifications and to enable product improvements to be made.
- Form a close relationship with Key Account Customers in order to support sales of services and spare parts through the provision of technical information, training and advice where required.
- In depth Spare part identification
- Use of IT systems in place for processing calls, enquiries and warranty orders.
- Produce technical information and data updates and distribute to internal and external customers
- Forward feedback and reports regarding technical issues to appropriate departments based on review and analysis and initiate corrective action to bring these issues to prompt, satisfactory resolution; ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
- Take an active role in the planning, organizing and delivery of technical training plans, for internal and external customers.
- Conduct minor repairs/setting/uploading etc of units/devices returned from the field or in the field and do some small ‘custom solutions’
- Provide assistance with fault finding to staff and customers, both over the phone and with site visits as required.
- Conduct and assist field staff on doing special service jobs and perform on site trainings as required
- Attend in depth product and technical training when required
Experience & knowledge requirements
Minimum experience of 3 years in a similar position
Minimum 5 years experience within an engineering/industrial environment
Experience of working within the mechanical and/or electrical engineering environment
Experience of working with complex machines combining mechanical, pneumatic, refrigeration, electrical and automation systems.
Very good technical knowledge on electrical and automation
Able to plan, organize and prioritize workload.
Has good interpersonal and communication skills.
Be self-motivated
Has a flexible attitude
Be PC literate and familiar with Microsoft Office and ERP&CRM systems
