-Responsible for the preparation and submission of the company’s Tax affairs, such as taxes on corporate income and gains, withholding taxes, Value Added Tax (VAT), Customs duty, Excise duty, Stamp duties, dividends, foreign tax relieves, fiscal procedural code and fiscal sanctions.
-Being responsible for the determination of the legal entity’s taxable income, securing the maintenance / archiving of proper information for the classification of deductible expenses, non taxable revenues and other tax deductions.
-Reviews the payroll process, secures that all related taxes (social security, WHT, supplementary funds) are correctly calculated, withheld and paid. Provide input on the tax aspects of the company’s HR policies, including particularly those related to expatriate benefit programs.
-Review Customer and Suppliers contracts (Local & Foreign) for any tax related issues (VAT, Customs clearance, Withholding Taxes, Duties and levies) and recommend necessary changes, in conformity to the local/foreign tax legislation and the company standard Agreement templates.
-Proactively recommend strategies to manage and reduce overall tax exposure of the legal entity.
-Perform SOX 404 Tax related Key Controls and support the Finance Control & Accounting manager in the Interim and Annual audit of the statutory financial statements.
-Cash and Forex management
-Monitor financial activities and details such as reserve levels to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met
-University degree in Finance and/or Accounting. A postgraduate degree will be considered as an asset
-4-5 years of relevant experience in Accounting, 2 out of which in a similar position in a multinational company
-Solid experience in Romanian GAAP
-Fluency in both Romanian and English
-Computer literate and competent user of accounting and reporting packages (SAP knowledge will be considered an asset)
-Analytical, numerical and good reasoning skills
