The Tax Analyst position is involved in all aspects of domestic transaction tax compliance and research in order to help the company abide by fiscal rules and filing accurate returns. Furthermore, will assure compliance with ANAF rules as well as local regulations by assessing internal policies or guidelines around tax reporting processes and ensures maintenance of the corporation's income tax accounting records. Additionally, you will also support the Corporation's tax planning initiatives with appropriate research and analysis for issues pertaining to acquisitions, divestitures, and due diligence.
Responsibilities:
Prepares accurate, timely tax returns (CIT, VAT, local taxes, withholding tax, etc)
Prepares accurate, timely payroll tax fillings and remittances
Proper postings to the GL accounts
Contributes to the preparation of tax reporting packages as required by Corporate Tax
Assists and communicates with tax auditors to resolve issues and produces required information for governmental agencies (including transfer pricing audits)
Designs and implements proper procedures and controls so as to ensure full compliance with local tax requirements (as well as SOX requirements)
Participates in the monthly/annual closing process
Provides back-up support for General Accounting when needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
2+ year experience in accounting/taxes
Strong knowledge of local tax law, regulations and requirements
Strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (SAP experience is a plus)
Advanced English language (oral and written) is mandatory
Strong compliance orientation
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Motivation and confidence to independently address the issue
Team player, customer-centric, result oriented
