We are seeking for a Systems Engineer that will be responsible for implementing, maintaining and providing support for Nagios and BPPM infrastructure. Nagios is used to monitor the infrastructure from Metro Group International.
Job description
Deploy Nagios servers and BPPM cells;
Deploy monitoring profiles;
Control server and component status and take appropriate actions;
Handle calls with BMC, track all problems;
Control tasks for automation, backup and recovery;
Manage Nagios client version updates;
First and second level support for all related incidents;
Provide problems and usage statistics;
Document system configuration, processes, procedures;
Be part of the on-call duty for 24/7 operations team.
Advanced experience with Nagios (implementation and administration);
Advanced experience with Open Monitoring Distribution(OMD);
Experience with Windows Server, AIX, Linux;
Programming experience;
Experience with scripting languages (ideally Python);
Proactive, goal oriented;
Good communication skills, team player, ability to work in international teams;
Excellent customer orientation skills;
Very good spoken and written English skills.
