Looking for a Systems Administrator of Windows servers with experience in setting up and maintaining a web farm that hosts multiple websites, e-commerce solutions and MS SQL database cluster.
Server administration will be done remotely and close communication with hosting provider's technicians through the ticket system or over the phone will be required.
Tasks will include but not limited to working on a new web farm set up and configuration, introduction of the new servers into existing web farm, hardware recommendations and upgrades, software installations, ongoing checkups and maintenance tasks, Windows updates.
In addition, an early warning system must be setup to provide early detection of server outages. For example, when traffic falls below a standard minimum level or orders slow down or any other criteria, the system must be setup to inform systems administrator to check up on the servers.
This is a part-time job, approx. 20 hours per week.
