In the name of our client, a leading provider of application software for electronic payments, we are searching for a System Software Engineer In Payment Engines Department in TIMISOARA.
Responsibilities:
- Engineers, configures and assists in architecting technical solutions for applications/systems implementations and upgrades based on specific business requirements.
- Participates in meetings with internal and external customers and vendors to gather system requirements.
- Provides consulting and software installation services to internal and external customers.
- Performs to day-to-day systems administration and monitoring tasks for assigned systems.
- Anticipates and raises project, business, and technical issues to the appropriate resources.
- Works with customers and vendors to resolve technical system problems.
- Produces program, system, and user documentation for assigned systems and customers.
- Provides accurate and timely information on status of projects tasks to keep management informed on the progress and issues relating to all assigned projects and responsibilities.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in MIS or a related field or equivalent experience required.
• 1-3+ years of information technology or technical support experience required.
• Experience with and working knowledge of z/OS is required.
• MVS, TSO, JCL and CICS are a plus.
• Experience with configuring and troubleshooting production VSAM is a plus.
• Previous experience in designing and implementing systems with a focus on scalability and high-availability preferred.
• Experience with configuring and troubleshooting production DB2 database highly desired.
• UNIX experience with korn shell and IBM/USS highly desired.
• Experience with one or more ACI software products preferred.
• Software development experience in C++ and/or Java is a plus.
• Experience with Websphere or other J2EE application servers is a plus.
• Strong understanding of internet and system networking protocols highly desired.
• Working knowledge of hardware platforms, networks and application layers required.
• Understanding of software development processes and system design principles required.
• Ability to implement moderately complex system installations, upgrades and expansions required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
