RESPONSABILITATI

Main responsibilities:
○ Regularly assessing risk exposures and formulating solutions to be presented to Management for review.
○ Systematically, and in a logged and documented manner manages LAN security and network performance. This principle extends to the whole of activities surrounding and within the management of ICT.
○ Analyzes future needs for acquisition.
○ Develop and write procedures for installation, use and solving problems of communications hardware and software.
○ Fully documents configurations to allow knowledgeable third parties to intervene in case of urgent or emergency need.
○ The following functions are to be accomplished:
- Performs all operational tasks to agreed service level agreements in a 24/7, 365 environment.
- An office helpdesk support internationally with our internal organization
- Resolve critical incidents which affect the availability of their systems quickly on a 24/7 basis
- Maintain databases of the company’s IT inventory
- Responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining UNIX servers and Windows servers.
- Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages and maintains them.
- Performs hardware installations and upgrades to servers and workstations
- Monitors and tunes the systems to achieve optimum level of performance.
- Ensures UNIX workstations/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
- Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
- Instructs users in the use of equipment, and monitors that this usage conforms to AMA policies and best practice.
- Conducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations/servers for compliance with established standards, policies, procedures and configuration guidelines.


CERINTE

Job requirements:
○ Extensive experience in a support/ Senior IT role.
○ Experience in working in a production (Live) 24x7 environment
○ Operating systems: Linux (Debian, RedHat), Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2000/2003 Server, Windows XP, Solaris is a plus
○ Linux/ UNIX OS experience - installation, configuration, tuning, hardening;
○ Proficient in administration of Windows Servers and Active Directory
○ Experience managing Firewalls, VPNs, Email servers, Load balancers, Cisco Switches, Routing, Switching, QOS, DNS and Bridging
○ Experience in working with RAID Systems
○ Security policy implementation knowledge
○ Must be familiar with the following software packages: Apache/PHP, Tomcat, mySQL, Oracle, Subversion, CVS, wiki or plone, HTML and Weblogic is a plus
○ Strong problem solving skills with the ability to organize plan and prioritize work.
○ Strong communication skills
○ Experience with accessing and problem solving servers remotely
○ The ability to coach and mentor junior staff
○ Experience with Network Security and intrusion detection
○ Experience with backing up enterprise systems
