We need a Rockstar System Administrator for our systems and networks.
Superficial types are excluded from the start - are you highly ethical, open and honest?
Then it s a must to be :
- highly skilled with most Linux commands/utilities
- familiar with most system administration tools and processes
- knowledgeable about shell/perl basic
- experienced in PC/server hardware
- knowledgeable about TCP/IP protocols (TCP, UDP, IP, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, NTP etc.)
- good at reading/writing/speaking English (we're a multinational company)
It s a plus:
- MySQL cluster and replication experience
- WAN routing and switching
- content switching
- high-availability and high-performance systems maintenance and design (clustering, monitoring, mass-management, failover etc.)
- capable of understanding and writing procedures and follow instructions
- technical documentation writing skills
Nice to have:
- experience in datacenter operations
- Solaris experience
- NAS/SAN storage systems
- expert in micro-management, crisis handling and communication
- Unix/Linux fanatic
- a Ph.D. in Computer Science
