RESPONSABILITATI

Member of European Supply Base organization. Reports to the Manager Supplier Quality, Europe.

1. Applies Honeywell Transportation Systems (TS) and automotive quality tools and processes and technical expertise to continuously improve the Quality performance of Suppliers.
2. Supports and approves new component launch projects following APQP and PPAP disciplines. Works to assure gaps and errors in drawings / specifications and Supplier processes are effectively resolved prior to SOP. Validates that Suppliers have appropriate process controls and capabilities to provide robust Quality products. Provides appropriate PEP phase reviews and approvals.
3. Assures Suppliers understand and comply with Honeywell TT drawings, specifications, processes and procedures. Evaluates and aligns Supplier measurement systems with Honeywell TS expectations and conventions. Where required, assures Customer specific requirements are deployed to and respected by current Suppliers
4. Validates Supplier process capabilities for PPAP and ongoing production. Assures Suppliers maintain capability data records and provide data to Honeywell TS on request or continuously as needed.
5. Requires Suppliers to properly apply automotive Quality tools & techniques (PFMEA, SPC, 8D, etc.), assisting them as needed.
6. Audits Suppliers Quality systems and processes, utilizing formal Honeywell TS audit techniques and procedures as well ISO TS 16949 and VDA 6.3 standard requirements. Initiates and follows up action plans, to correct the non-conformities discovered during the Suppliers Quality audits. Communicates internally and externally the status of these actions. Carries out follow up audits to assure corrective actions are permanently installed.
7. Responsible to notify Quality, SBM and Plant leaders when critical Quality standards are known to be compromised. Works actively to quickly and effectively resolve such issues.
8. Works with Suppliers and Honeywell team members to prevent and resolve supply problems related to Quality issues.
9. Through action plan, drives quick and effective resolution of CIV Quality problems at Suppliers, including appropriate documentation (as 8D 5WHy, 4 Blocks, etc.). Audits Suppliers to assure corrective actions are permanently installed. Communicates internally and externally issue status and action plans.
10. Takes the lead to resolve recurring and technically challenging issues at Supplier under his/her responsibility.
11. Ensures Suppliers conduct continuous improvement projects, providing oversight or support as needed.
12. Advises Honeywell SBM and Plant teams on Supplier Quality performance.
13. Reports monthly the ongoing activities, status of action plans, supplier monthly performance outstanding issues happened in the month to his/her leader. Minimum once a month update the corresponding documents on TSVillage.
14. Upon request liaise with Suppliers and Honeywell team members to prevent and resolve capacity, packaging or any other supply issues.
15. Upon request supports SBM team members in developing commodity and Supplier strategies, new Supplier selections and project sourcing decisions.
16. Upon request supports Plant / SQA actions to disposition and resolve issues with rejected components.
17. Upon request supports plant teams on monthly supplier quality meetings.
18. Upon request substitutes other SQ&D.
19. Will be located in Europe.
20. Will be part of the TS Sourcing


CERINTE

3. Experienced Quality Engineer or complementary skills (e.g. Product or manufacturing Engineering). Higher technical training (engineer or equivalent).
4. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in industry, preferably in the automotive sector.
5. Competent in automotive OEM Quality practices, inclusive of: APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, Process Auditing, ISO/TS, 8D etc.
6. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Knowledge of another European language desirable.
7. Product knowledge (e.g. Turbocharger), its manufacturing processes and its application. Understands Honeywell TS drawings and specifications.
8. Project management sufficient to lead cross-functional teams in CAR and other Quality activities.
9. Six Sigma Greenbelt (minimum) or Blackbelt or Lean Expert (preferred)
10. Experience in casting and/or machining technologies is advantage.
Electronics / Electronic Component assembly knowledge / expertise (mandatory for one position).
