Design, layout, and validate Standard Cell Library’s. Support CAD library development including the design and characterization of Standard Cell libraries, specialty cells, and macros. Manage release of Standard Cell Libraries. Work with external foundries to establish design rules and support third Party Memory Compilers and generate compiled SRAMs. Write and simulate behavioral Verilog models for standard cells. Perform synthesis studies and validate Synopsys Models for Standard Cell Library using Synopsys suite of tools. Perform schematic capture design using Cadence suite of tools. Participate in development of library generation flow and tools. Develop and support design methodologies. Train and support product division engineers in the use of cell libraries. Work with India Design Center (“IDC”) and European Design Center’s engineers to support unique library requirements. Analyze and specify cell library requirements in support of new product development. Utilize specific skills in VLSI Circuit Design, Circuit Simulation and Design Verification, Digital Standard Cell Library Design, and Verilog Modeling to accomplish the work.
Degree in Electronics, Microelectronics, Automatics or Electrical Engineering.
VLSI Circuit Design, Circuit Simulation and Design Verification, Digital Standard Cell Library Design and Verilog Modeling, Working knowledge of Perl and Skill.
English: must have good oral and written communication skills.

Microchip opened the R&D Center located in Bucharest in April 2006 and has been constantly expanding it.
