- Responsible for the installation, configuration and operation of: Sybase ASE and IQ, MS SQL Server databases, 4GL and Sybase Jaguar application servers;
- Implements security plans for each database server;
- Develops, tests and implements database backup and recovery strategies;
- In high-availability configurations, the DBA also configures and manages fail over clustering, linked servers, log shipping (stand by servers) and replication;
- Develops and implements the monitoring strategy for databases.
- Performs software installation, upgrades and installs application and database patches;
- Assists in database maintenance in areas such as access methods and times, validation checks, protection and security, documentation guidelines, statistical methods and database dictionaries;
- Develops, documents, and implements operational support procedures for the non Core Banking databases;
- Participating to new projects.
- University degree;
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Database Administrator;
- Knowledge of data analysis and data modeling;
- Advanced knowledge of ANSI SQL and procedural languages as TSQL;
- Knowledge of Windows 2003 Servers;
- Certifications on SQL & Sybase Administration;
