To help drive the commercially successful, stable team of analysts to new levels of efficiency, QSIU is seeking a motivated individual to take up a position of Spanish Speaking Junior Analyst in our Evaluation & Advisory team. Working closely with other colleagues in our London office, this Bucharest based position will require a combination of drive, analytical capability, knowledge and interest in higher education and creativity. It will involve the application of relevant knowledge, expertise, experience and analytical abilities to commercial contracts taken on by the QS Intelligence Unit, as well as contributing to other research outputs of the unit. Additionally, the position will play an integral role with the international data collection functions of the unit
• Leading and drafting reports including but not limited to QS Stars and benchmarking that include targeted recommendations for universities, data-rich projects, and supporting the consulting team when necessary doing research in the higher education sector
• Liaising with universities around the world in English or Spanish to collect data from them as part of our data collection exercises for university rankings and other projects, and validating data that they have submitted (this is not a cold calling role)
• Working with other analysts based both in Bucharest and London to ensure the report output is of an impeccable quality to meet our customer’s expectations
• Contacting clients and institutions around the world to collect data from them as part of our data collection exercises, and validating data that they have submitted
• Developing and maintaining both personal and organisational expertise in the area of institutional research in higher education

• Ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data and to synthesise clear narratives and conclusions
• Excellent spoken communication in English and Spanish
• Skilled in Excel
• Ability to manage workload and competing deadlines with minimal hand holding
• Direct client contact experience at some level with a focus on customer satisfaction
• Additional languages an advantage. Russian, Arabic or Portuguese would be particularly advantageous
• Interest in working in Higher Education sector desirable
• Knowledge of InDesign would be advantageous but is not essential
You will have strong analytical insight and familiarity with working with large and diverse data sets. You will be efficient, detail-oriented and able to work well on your own initiative.
