- Have or develop a thorough understanding of the local market conditions and local legislations / codes
- Conduct market surveys for a number of spending pools
- Identify a supply base appropriate to the spending pools and project needs
- Issue inquiries
- Negotiate to guarantee optimal results
- Allocate business in alignment with company directions
- Set up contractual agreements as required, based upon company guidelines
- Follow the project closely through execution, leading change order management and project close out
- Handle claims if required
- Build fruitful supplier relationships, in line with company vendor relationship guidelines
- All work to happen in line with project timings in order to meet overall project schedules
- Market studies
- Sourcing strategy proposals
- Bid comparisons / summaries
- Contract negotiations
- Achieve optimal and competitive results
- Meet project deadlines as per project manager guidance
- Deliver project results in timely manner
- Close relationship with project manager
- Manage all change orders through close out of project
- Experience required in market analyses, negotiation, inquiry handling, contract negotiation
- Smooth verbal and written communication internal and external
- Linking vendor capability to customer needs, benchmarking, leveraging, supplier relationship management
- Ability to work both independently and in team context
- Having experience doing sourcing in Romania and knowing local codes is an asset
