- Review all project requirements for database implications. Participate in the design, build, integration, performance and testing.
- Define database administration standards, policies, procedures for the organization, structure, attributes, nomenclature (data elements), applying accepted data content standards to technology products and ensuring a standardized project approach to a repeatable process.
- Coordinate the rollout of all database installations and configurations, as well as schema structures for test environments. Ensure all scripts or code promoted to production; comply with all relevant IT Control policies and procedures.
- Provide coverage during production run, monitor jobs, to resolve any issues.
- Provide direction for a disaster/recovery strategy, participate in testing and implementation.
- In the development server, responsible for software installation, configuration, upgrade and patch install of the Oracle RDBMS and related database tools.
- Create database instances in the development servers, manage and maintain resources in this instance, provide backup and restore capability, and manage disk space allocations.
- Code highly customized stored procedures or packages focused on database related task.
- Provide support to application developers (SQL tuning, problem resolution, data restores, access privileges, POC for new features, design improvements, enforcing standards, prepare development environments for testing).
- Database Management: Design, build, deploy, and operate Oracle databases.
- Development Support: Create, maintain, and provide support for one or more databases in a development environment.
- Production Support: Provide coverage during production run; interact with team to resolve issues and problems encountered.
- Minimum 5 years experience in building Oracle based architectures
- Participation in minimum 5 projects of implementing Oracle based solutions
- Relevant Oracle certifications
