SOLUTION ARCHITECT HARDWARE

RESPONSABILITATI

-With an overall solution in mind, researches, evaluates and selects technology and infrastructure products
- Analyzes functionality and features, assesses cost benefit factors and budgetary/resource impacts, impacts/risks to IT, security and users
- Investigates compatibility with the existing IT environment selects products for evaluation
- Determines evaluation criteria and recommends final selection.
- Develops integration plans and leads the implementation of hardware.
- Develops corporate IT solution architecture policies, standards, procedures and guidelines for IT servers and manages their implementation.
- Develops and communicates integration criteria and techniques associated with the integration of products within the IT.
- Develops, communicates and recommends to senior management strategic plans, proposals and standards which promote a corporate IT integrated solution perspective on the management and integrated use of information technology resources that best ensures the organization¿s IT technologies and information management products meet the organization¿s immediate and future business needs.
- Works with other managers to develop, revise, and manage the organization¿s corporate life cycle planning function as it relates to servers, printers, desktop hardware, desktop solutions and other core IT services
- Develops individual business continuity plans for every solution within an integrated architecture for the IT Services component of the corporate Business Continuity Plan, including recommending technical design features and alternatives to ensure proper protection and contingency recovery of all IT core services.
- Manages IT solution data recovery activities to ensure continuation of critical IT core services to the organization. Reviews and analyzes periodic solution/service threat and risk assessments/audits. Develops and manages any required remediation/modification efforts. Reviews periodic solution/service usage for overall effectiveness and value for investment, review includes the development and management of necessary changes.
- Participates in the organization¿s strategic planning and operational decision-making as a member of the IT Services team, sharing equally in the exchange of ideas, concepts, problem resolution and co-ordination of activities to ensure appropriate allocation of resources and provision of consistent IT services.
