Job Purpose:
Testing of safety-critical software solutions for interlocking systems used in the railway field.
You will be part of the test team as an expert on our Human Machine Interface. You’ll work with experienced testers and engineers focusing on delivery of a high quality safety critical product.
Job summary: Test of complex and safety-critical application software for the railway field, including:
Specification of Test Cases on Requirements basis;
Implementation of Test Cases for unit test and subsystem test. Writing of test programs and test data;
Automation of Test Cases;
Execution of manual and automated tests;
Support of test environments, tools and simulation;
Evaluation of the test output (coverage, traceability, progress);
Test documentation;
Regular test reporting.
The tests will be performed in close co-operation with experts from Thales Germany.

We are looking for a team player who can demonstrate the following qualities:
Professional competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent science (Automatics, Transportation, Electronics, Cibernetics).
Requested technical competencies:
Knowledge of computer networks fundamentals;
Testing of complex software systems under usage of technical means like simulators and scripting languages;
Would be a plus:
Programming (Java, C) experience;
Knowledge of ClearQuest, DOORS, Version Control Software;
Script Languages (shell scripting for Unix or Linux, Perl or others);
Personal competencies
Solution oriented, team-working
Intercultural communication, including the empathy to work in an international team
Flexibility and availability to travel abroad from time to time
Languages:
Fluency in English
German is a plus
