Development targets include the entire Freescale silicon product portfolio: Digital Signal Processors and Controllers (e.g. StarCore), 32-bit Microcontrollers and Processors (e.g. Power Architecture, ColdFire), 8/16-bit Microcontrollers, 2.5G-3G+ Cellular Platforms, etc.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
Job Purpose:
- Define and monitor software product quality for CodeWarrior™ tools.
- Facilitate and monitor the implementation of software development processes to be compliant with ISO 9000/ SEI CMMi standards and other relevant referential.
- Drive and facilitate product quality improvements and process definition;
- Define and maintain product and process measurement system;
- Conduct product and process audits and assessments and support teams in defining improvement actions;
- Communicate with customers on product quality;
- Benchmark worldwide practices.
- University degree, preferable in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electronics
- Experience in Software Quality Assurance, Process Engineering, or related disciplines with overall understanding of the software development life cycle
- Experience with the application of the ISO 9000 standards family and SEI CMMi or other relevant quality standards
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing and teamwork skills
- Excellent English command
Some of the following skills would bring an advantage:
- Lifecycle for software development & testing
- Agile development methodologies
- Familiarity with some of these tools: requirements management (e.g. Doors), configuration management (e.g. CVS), project planning and tracking (e.g. Primavera), static code analysis (e.g. BoundsChecker), testing frameworks, statistical process control
- Knowledge of Project Management techniques
- Statistical process control - SixSigma for software
